HEY!
My name is Andre and I’m a 28-year-old video game writer. Although writing for video games is my main focus, that drive doesn’t stop me from honing my skills in writing comics, short stories, movies & television, and lots of prose (fanfiction is fun, get over it)! I secured a bachelor’s degree in American Studies from the Cal State University of Fullerton and can humbly say that I was granted the status of published author in the Spring of 2022 with my scholarly essay, American Expectations: Nostalgic Ties to WandaVision’s Reception, in CSUF’s American Studies department journal, The American Papers. With an emphasis on game writing, I hope that my work shows audiences and recruiters alike that I am able to tell captivating stories, create memorable, dynamic, & diverse characters, and showcase my personality & life experiences through my prose, scripts, and a whole lot of dialogue barks.
When I’m not writing I’m usually always playing a video game. I’m incredibly competitive, so if I’m not neck-deep in a single-player game I’ve played about a hundred times (looking at you, Uncharted 2), I’m usually trying to climb the ranked ladder in some of my favorite competitive multiplayer games like Apex Legends and Valorant. On the off chance I’m not playing video games or writing, I’m most likely collecting action figures and movie memorabilia, watching Beverly Hills Cop or Raiders of the Lost Ark for the thousandth time (I’ve definitely seen both of those movies more times than I’ve played Uncharted 2), or playing shows with my band. You may be thinking, “Does this guy ever go outside?” And honestly, barely. But when I do go outside, I love spending time at Disneyland with my partner, heading to the mountains to fish, and when I’m feeling like a younger version of myself, I’ll bust out a kickflip or two at a skatepark or in the driveway. If it weren’t apparent already, between all of those activities, doom-scrolling Twitter is used to fill every little crack in my day that’s left unaccounted for. So, contact me, send me a meme, and let’s work together (not necessarily in that order)!
